Through the Coordination Hub, Network members have access to resources that help deepen their knowledge and application of collaborative infrastructure for their own work, to build collaboration across the Network, and to advance change to inequitable systems in STEM education and careers. The Coordination Hub shares peer and Hub-provided resources, offers capacity-building webinars, and facilitates peer learning and discussion, both online and in person.
The Five Elements of Collaborative Infrastructure
Engage the Community in a Shared Vision
Every NSF INCLUDES-funded project and the National Network engages the community in a shared vision engages a broad community in a shared vision of the importance and power of diversity in scientific innovation.
Partnerships provide a platform for collaborative action
Partnerships and networks are at the heart of the NSF INCLUDES National Network. The Coordination Hub, alliances, design and development launch pilots, conferences, and other NSF-INCLUDES-funded projects provide a platform for partnerships and collaborative action.
Goals and Metrics allow for evidence-based decision making
Partnerships and networks run on shared goals and metrics that allow for robust data that facilitates evidence-based decision making
Leadership and Communications increase communication and visibility
NSF INCLUDES is designed to build capacity for leadership and communication among organizations and individuals to create opportunities in STEM education and careers.
Establish the capacity for Expansion, Sustainability, and Scale
Collaborative infrastructure should lead to more partners joining the movement, more connections being made, and chance for collaborative change to lead to expansion, sustainability, and scale.
The NSF INCLUDES Network is open to anyone interested in improving diversity and inclusion in STEM.
